After selecting an order set, a vehicle set and setting the desired settings you are now ready to run your planning.
Planning preview
Before an optimization has started, an overview of the input data and selected settings is shown.
The planning tab will display some information that is essential to your plan:
Which order set is used and how many orders does contain?
Which vehicle set is used and how many vehicles does it have?
The selected basic settings
Advanced settings will - by default - be collapsed but can easily be opened.
Data insights
You also have the option to create some data insights within the application.
These following insights are shown:
amount of deliveries
amount of pickups
% order / vehicle capacity = the capacity that is required (orders) vs. the capacity that is available (vehicles)
If this is high, it will not be easy to allocate all orders to vehicles.
the distribution of the orders over all hours of the day.
When all orders should be delivered within the same timewindow, more vehicles will be needed in order to plan all these orders.
If the timewindows of the orders are evenly distributed over the hours of the day however, it will be possible to create a planning with less vehicles.

If a lot of orders have a small timewindow, it will be more difficult for PTV OptiFlow to plan all orders.
